Menopause can be the reason we feel like pulling away from things we have been working through most of our lives—careers, relationships, partnerships, clients, and places.
- Loss of confidence
- Limited focus
- "I'm not as good as I used to be"
- "I'm not enjoying my position"
- "People get on my nerves"
- "I'm not motivated like before"
- "I have nothing in common with anyone anymore"
These are some of the things I hear from women who may feel that coping with menopause is not going to plan.
The truth is, maybe it wasn't the plan - but how many times has something fallen onto your desk unexpectedly, or someone just showed up unannounced, or a job turned out to be not what you expected? But you dealt with it, pulled out your brain's flip chart, worked through it, talked it through, and worked it out. Things got done because you had the expertise, the work ethic, the procedure, and the wisdom to make it happen.
If menopause were part of your job, your client, your partner, or your teen, you would be so used to working it out that it would only be a matter of time before it was just another one of those challenges you navigated through.
You have so much inside you from where you have been—your "Golden Tracks" of life. You are of huge value.
